Contents, comment

The course covers various philosophical problems concerning the topic of doing good in the contemporary world. The course will consider the following questions, among other things. Whether and to what extent individuals are required to help others by donating to charity. Whether and to what extent individuals are required to participate in collective activities such as combating climate change. What, if any, moral obligations we have to future people, and whether a longtermist perspective on promoting the good is justified.
