In this project you have the opportunity to participate in the "International Social Robotics Contest“ for a credit of 5 CP. You will be assigned to a team of international students working together virtually on a specific topic in the realm of social robots. Each team will decide for itself which direction it wants to take, e.g., whether it wants to work on design ideas, on a technical implementation, or on an empirical study. In addition to an introductory session, you will need to attend to the team meetings and six ‘workshops’ (Wednesday evenings, Oct. 11, Nov. 8, Nov. 22, Dec. 6, Dec. 20, Jan. 10) in which specific topics will be presented. The final presentation of the collaborative work will take place at the University of Utrecht on the 17th of January, 2024. For the 5 CP a written report of the project and your own (independent) work is also expected.
An international introduction meeting with group formation will already take place on October 11th.
The organisers also allow a later registration for participants from Bielefeld University due to its later semester start compared to other international universities. So contact me if you are interested in the contest (before Oct 11th)
For registration and/or questions contact me (florian.schroeder@uni-bielefeld.de).

Student information |
The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
