Mit der Ausbreitung interaktiver Medienformen hat sich auch die politische Kampagnenkultur stark verändert. Wahlkampfkommunikation erfolgt immer häufiger online und erstreckt sich inzwischen von offiziellen Websites bis hin zu allen gängigen Social Networks. Im Seminar soll diese Entwicklung im Hinblick auf verschiedene soziologische Wahlkampftheorien betrachtet werden. Am Beispiel des letzten US-Präsidentschaftswahlkampfes soll darüber hinaus der konkrete Versuch unternommen werden moderne Kampagnenkommunikation nachzuvollziehen.
