Das Seminar richtet seinen Blick auf Diagnosemöglichkeiten in verschiedenen Entwicklungsbereichen, in den Kulturtechniken und von emotionalen und sozialen Kompetenzen. Dabei spielen standardisierte Testverfahren als auch informelle sowie qualitative Zugänge eine Rolle. Sowohl im Seminar als auch in Kleingruppen (Studienleistung), werden zahlreiche Diagnoseverfahren erprobt, verglichen und bewertet. Die Veranstaltung bereitet den diagnostischen Prozess während der Fallstudie in Element E4 vor.
Die Veranstaltung ist mit dem Seminar 250209 gekoppelt. Beide werden zusammen belegt.

Als Studienleistung in diesem Element werden mindestens drei diagnostische Verfahren oder Konzepte in Kleingruppen erprobt und reflektiert. Über die Erfahrungen mit den diagnostischen Instrumenten wird ein Portfolio erstellt. Eines dieser Verfahren wird in der Veranstaltung präsentiert.
