The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.

Das Seminar ist als textbasiertes Diskussionsseminar geplant, d.h. Grundlagentexte (ca. 6 Texte; Umfang bis zu ca. 20 Seiten) sind zu den Sitzungen vor- und aufzubereiten. Konkret bedeutet dies, zentrale textimmanente Aussagen herauszuarbeiten, zu kontextualisieren und kritisch-systematisch zu vergleichen. Die Bescheinigung einer Studienleistung erfolgt auf Grundlage der verbindlichen, regelmäßigen und aktiven Teilnahme an allen ausgewiesenen Sitzungen. Die Option einer (unbenoteten) mündlichen Prüfung steht interessierten Teilnehmenden offen. Diese finden im Rahmen von Prüfungswochen statt, die frühestens gegen Ende der Vorlesungszeit umgesetzt werden, d.h. ein Prüfungstermin kann nicht selbst gewählt werden. Benotete Prüfungsleistungen (bspw. Modulabschlussprüfungen) -soweit dies in den jeweiligen Modulbeschreibungen verankert ist, können nur über Hausarbeiten (Umfang von ca. 12-15 Seiten) erbracht werden. Die Kreditierung einer Studien- und Prüfungsleistung über „Referat mit Ausarbeitung“ ist nicht möglich.
