Thema der Veranstaltung ist die semantische Seite deutscher Verben. Dabei geht es gleichermaßen um ihre grammatische wie ihre lexikalische Seite. Es werden zum Einen die Bedeutungsdimensionen grammatischer Kategorien wie Tempus, Aspekt und Modus sowie ferner Finitheit behandelt. Es werden aber auch im engeren Sinne lexikalische Aspekte behandelt wie Aktionsart, semantische Rollen, verbale Periphrasen (wie die verschiedenen Passiv-Varianten) und Konstruktionen. Im Seminar wird ausgewählte Forschungsliteratur behandelt, die einen breit gefächerten Einblick geben soll in die verschiedenen Bedeutungs-Dimensionen, die mit Verben im Deutschen wie allgemein in der Sprache verbunden sind.
