In diesem Kurs werden wir anhand ausgewählter Texte epochale Merkmale vor allem des Realismus und des Naturalismus diskutieren. Dabei beginnen wir anhand von Prosatexten mit der Abwendung von der Spätromantik und der Etablierung des Realismus. Im zweiten Teil unseres Kurses werden wir anhand weiterer Textsorten wie dem Essay und der Lyrik die Beschleunigungsbewegung der Moderne nachvollziehen, in denen sich Naturalismus und Fin de Siècle etablieren.
