Contents, comment

In this colloquium, students from MA-level degree programmes in the social sciences, sociology in particular, can present their research proposals, MA theses or other kinds of work in progress. The colloquium is broadly conceived and topics can include, but not limited to, global inequalities, work and labour, rural development, urban transformation, transnational and global migration, knowledge production, mobilities and connections between and within the global South & global North, transnational social spaces and economies, transnational social movements and religious communities, or global value chains.

Practically, the aim is to provide each participant with a slot of up to 45 minutes to present their work to get feedback from the lecturer and the other participants. By signing up to the colloquium, you are committed to 1) provide the convenor with an abstract of the work to be discussed by October 25th, 2) upload a text (research proposal, MA thesis chapter etc) a week in advance of your assigned slot, 3) read all the texts of the other participants and provide constructive feedback for each other in each session.

Please note that you will only get a presentation slot if you submit the abstract by October 25th. The time schedule for the presentations will be available in the first week of November on the basis of the abstracts submitted.
