In dem Seminar werden die Grundlagen und Bestandteile der klinisch-psychologischen Diagnostik vermittelt und anhand von praxisnahen Fallbeispielen in einem interaktiven Prozess erprobt. Die Studierenden werden dabei angeleitet, im diagnostischen Prozess unterschiedliche Perspektiven einzunehmen und neben einer eher kognitiv-verhaltenstheoretischen Sicht auch tiefenpsychologische Überlegungen vorzunehmen sowie potentielle neuropsychologische Auffälligkeiten zu berücksichtigen. Dafür rotieren alle eingeplanten vier DozentInnen - entsprechend ihren Fachexpertisen- mit bestimmten Thematiken in allen vier inhalts- und zeitgleich angelegten Seminaren. Passend zu zwei Fallbeispielen (Erwachsene und Kind) werden diagnostische Vorgehensweisen wie strukturierte Interviews, psychometrische Fragebögen, die Operationalisierte Psychodynamische Diagnostik (OPD), Verhaltensanalyse sowie Anamneseerhebung angewendet. Ein weiterer zentraler Bestandteil des Seminars besteht in der Vermittlung von Grundlagen der klinisch-diagnostischen Gesprächsführung sowie der kontinuierlichen Erprobung dieser Techniken in interaktiver Kleingruppenarbeit.
