Für die Fülle an Formen kurzer Prosa hat sich zumeist der Sammelbegriff der Erzählung eingebürgert. Ähnlich etabliert sind die Bezeichnungen Anekdote, Novelle oder Kurzgeschichte. Viele Spielarten des experimentellen Erzählens lassen sich jedoch mit den traditionellen Termini nur unzureichend erfassen. Dabei handelt es sich oft um „Kürzestprosa“, die gerade in ihrer Verdichtung einen hohen Grad an Komplexität erreicht und einen weiten Interpretationsspielraum eröffnet. Durch die intensive Beschäftigung mit solch kurzen Erzähltexten wollen wir klären, ob sich der Begriff der „Prosaskizze“ zur Abgrenzung von anderen Formen eignet, aber auch ob und wie dieser Begriff einen Beitrag zum besseren Verständnis des individuellen Textes leisten kann.
