Im Seminar sollen methodische und historiographische Ansätze vergleichender und transnationaler Geschichtsforschung am Beispiel des Kalten Krieges diskutiert werden. Die Epoche des Kalten Krieges wird dabei besonders unter dem Gesichtspunkt einer globalen Wahrnehmungs- und Verflechtungsgeschichte betrachtet, in deren Mittelpunkt die Supermächte USA und Sowjetunion stehen. Die Bereitschaft zur Lektüre durchgehend englischsprachiger Quellen und Texte ist Teilnahmevoraussetzung.
