Diskussion verschiedener Funktionsklassen (proportionale Funktionen, lineare Funktionen, quadratische Funktionen, Polynomfunktionen, gebrochen-rationale Funktionen Exponentialfunktionen, trigonometrische Funktionen) und ihrer Umkehrfunktionen (Wurzelfunktionen, Logarithmusfunktion, Arkus-Funktionen)

Zusammenhang dieser Funktionsklassen zu anderen mathematischen und außermathematischen Fragestellungen (proportionales/lineares Wachstum, exponentielles Wachstum, Lösungen von Gleichungen, geometrische Aspekte, Modellierung von realen Anwendungsproblemen)

Einführung der komplexen Zahlen und Einheitswurzeln

Einführung eines formalen Grenzwertbegriffs und seine Anwendung: Vollständigkeit der reellen Zahlen; Stetigkeit von Funktionen; fakultativ: Einführung in die Differentialrechnung, numerische Verfahren
