Das Verhältnis von Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft ist im Wandel begriffen. Während in politischen Diskursen die verstärkte Nutzbarmachung der akademischen Forschung für die Innovationsfähigkeit der Wirtschaft eingefordert wird, sehen wissenschaftliche Beobachter im Zeitalter des ¿akademischen Kapitalismus¿ tatsächlich eine engere Beziehung zwischen den beiden Funktionssystemen entstehen. Hier fallen die normativen Bewertungen dieser Entwicklung deutlich ambivalenter aus, werden doch tief greifende Rückwirkungen auf die wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisproduktion nicht ausgeschlossen.
Die Veranstaltung soll am Beispiel des Verhältnisses von Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft in aktuelle Fragestellungen der Wissenschafts- und Hochschulforschung einführen.
