Die Übung versteht sich als Fortsetzung der Einführung in die französische Literaturwissenschaft des Wintersemesters 2022/23 (kann jedoch auch unabhängig von dieser besucht werden). Sie setzt sich zum Ziel, Grundlagen der französischen Literaturgeschichte zu vermitteln. Ausgehend von den literaturwissenschaftlichen Ansätzen, die in der Einführung im Semester zuvor besprochen wurden, geht es nun v.a. darum, die bedeutenden Epochen der Literaturgeschichte anhand maßgeblicher Werke herausragender Autoren und Autorinnen zu erforschen und zu diskutieren. Aus diesem Grund steht die Lektüre der literarischen Texte (im Original) im Vordergrund. Dabei greift die Übung zentrale Fragestellungen der französischen Literaturwissenschaft auf und debattiert sie exemplarisch an den zu lesenden Werken. Die Texte werden auf dem Lernraum der Einführung zur Verfügung gestellt.
