Medienpädagogische Fragestellungen in öffentlichen und fachwissenschaftlichen Diskussionen werden oft ohne Grundlage von Forschungsergebnissen diskutiert, da gerade bei neuen Medien entsprechende Ergebnisse fehlen. Zu den Auswirkungen von neuen Medien auf die Rezipienten und deren soziale und kognitive Fähigkeiten, sowie zur Bedeutung neuer Medien für Bildungs- und Erziehungsprozesse liegen z.Z. nur wenige Studien und Untersuchungen vor.
Das Seminar möchte diese zentralen Fragen der Medienpädagogik mit praxisorientiertem Bezug auf die neuen Medien, wie Smartphones und Tablets diskutieren und kommentieren. In diesem Zusammenhang sollen Studien und Forschungsergebnisse zum Nutzungsverhalten, sowie zur Wirkung neuer Medien recherchiert und präsentiert werden.
