300052 Ungleichheiten innerhalb von Familien: Geschwisteranalysen (Vertiefung Methoden, quantitativ) (Ü) (SoSe 2013)

Investieren Eltern mehr Zeit in ihr Erst- als in das Letztgeborene?
Haben Eltern höhere Bildungsaspirationen für ihre männlichen als für ihre weiblichen Kinder?
Welche Rolle spielt die Anzahl der Geschwister für das eigene Einkommen?

Um diese und ähnliche Fragen beantworten zu können, werden zunächst theoretische Konzepte zur Erklärung von Ungleichheiten zwischen Geschwistern diskutiert.
Darauf aufbauend wird in Gruppenarbeit eine eigene konkrete Fragestellung erarbeitet und unter Anwendung bereits vorhandener Methodenkenntnisse mit Daten des Sozioökonomischen Panels untersucht.

Requirements for participation, required level

Voraussetzung für die Teilnahme sind grundlegende statistische Kenntnisse (mindestens Statistik I).
