Im Rahmen der Einführungsveranstaltung Studentische Rechtsberatung erfolgt eine Grundanleitung der an der Beratungstätigkeit interessierten Studierenden ab dem dritten Fachsemester unter anderem in die Beratungstaktik, Fristenführung, Haftungsproblematik, Streitwertberechnung, Anwaltsrecht. Dabei werden die Grundzüge des theoretischen Wissens zur Kommunikation, anwaltlichen Gesprächsführung und ergebnisorientierter Konfliktbewältigung vermittelt. Zwecks Herausbildung der Fähigkeit zur juristischen Verarbeitung eines realen Sachverhaltes im Gegensatz zu Schulsachverhalten werden rollenspielmäßige Simulationen des Mandantengesprächs durchgeführt.
Die im Sommersemester 2012 an der Einführungsveranstaltung teilnehmenden Studierenden werden im Wintersemester 2012/2013 bei der Studentischen Rechtsberatung Bielefeld als Berater eingesetzt. Bei den Beratungen werden Verhandlungsgeschick, Problemlösungs-, Argumentations- und Beratungsfähigkeit sowie rhetorische Künste praktisch eingeübt.
Durch regelmäßige Teilnahme an der Einführungsveranstaltung und die spätere Mitarbeit in der Studentischen Rechtsberatung kann eine Schlüsselqualifikation erlangt werden.
