Im Rahmen der Veranstaltung soll die Anwendung fortgeschrittener Verfahren mittels des Statistikpakets SPSS behandelt werden. Hierbei wird das jeweilige Verfahren kurz theoretisch skizziert, dann an einem praktischem Beispiel vorgeführt. Außerdem werden Beispieldatensätze aus verschiedenen Fachgebieten zur Verfügung gestellt, um den Studierenden die Möglichkeit zu geben, die jeweiligen Verfahren selbstständig durchzuführen.
In der Veranstaltung wird zunächst die Varianzanalyse im Rahmen des allgemeinen Modells wiederholt. Es folgen Varianzanalyse mit Messwiederholung und MANOVA mit jeweiligen Post-Hoc-Tests. Ferner werden Interaktions- und Moderationseffekte behandelt. Es folgen logistische Regression, multinominale Regression und eine Einführung in die Mehrebenenmodelle.

Es wird davon ausgegangen, dass einfache statistische Verfahren bereits aus dem BSC-Studium bekannt sind. Insbesondere T-Test, ANOVA und vor allem die lineare Regression werden vorausgesetzt.
