In this class we will focus on differnt accents in the United States. In order for you to understand the differences between the accents better and also grasp the way in which they change(d), I will give you a fundamental introduction to phonetics and phonology.

This class can be taken as a substitute for "How to Handle Speech" (Studienordnung 2005).
