In dieser Veranstaltung soll der lange Weg zur rechtlichen Gleichberechtigung zwischen Männern und Frauen in der Bundesrepublik nachgezeichnet werden. Dazu sollen schwerpunktmäßig die Entwicklungen zurzeit der Gründung der Bundesrepublik bis in die 1960er-Jahre, die Debatten der 1970er-Jahre, die rechtlichen Veränderungen nach der Wiedervereinigung in den 1990er-Jahren und aktuelle rechtliche Fragen in den Blick genommen werden. Dabei soll in dem Seminar auch ein Blick über den engeren Rahmen der Rechtsgeschichte hinaus geworfen werden und die Frage nach den gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhängen und Folgen der rechtlichen Entscheidungen fokussiert werden.
