Unsere Erinnerungen sind keine genauen Abbildungen dessen, was wir erlebt haben. Falsche Erinnerungen sind ein alltägliches Phänomen, das im therapeutischen oder forensischen Kontext jedoch weitreichende und schwerwiegende Konsequenzen haben kann. Wir werden uns der Frage widmen, ob sich die Entstehung falscher Erinnerungen verhindern lässt und welche Empfehlungen sich daraus z. B. für die Befragung von Augenzeugen ableiten lassen. Können falsche von wahren Erinnerungen auf Verhaltens- oder neuronaler Ebene unterschieden werden?
Der zweite große Themenkomplex des Seminars beschäftigt sich mit der Untersuchung von Lügen. Kann man Lügner entlarven? Gibt es ein „Verbrecher-Gehirn“? Und können Tiere auch lügen?

In der ersten Sitzung werden einige mögliche Quellen vorgestellt, weitere Literatur soll unter Anleitung eigenständig gesucht werden.
