Die Veranstaltung will überblicksartig allgemeine Informationen zur Vormoderne und zur Stadt in der Vormoderne vermitteln (demographische Entwicklung, Wirtschaft, politische Struktur, Rechtssystem etc.).
Die ‚Historische Orientierung‘ begleitet das Seminar „Ein europäischer Sonderfall? Die Geschichte der Stadt in Mittelalter und Früher Neuzeit“, das Fr. 10-12 Uhr stattfindet (siehe auch den Kommentar dort).
