In dieser Übung wird zunächst eine Einführung in Hilfsmittel und Arbeitstechniken der Paläographie des späten Mittelalters und der Frühen Neuzeit gegeben. Im praktischen Teil werden Quellentexte vom späten 14. bis zum 16. Jahrhunderts gelesen, transkribiert und inhaltlich diskutiert. Der Schwerpunkt wird dabei auf den Stadtgesellschaften in Ostwestfalen liegen.
