Der 'Vorkurs Didaktik der Mathematik' richtet sich vorrangig an Mathematikstudierende der GHR-Lehrämter. Er kann aber auch Erstsemestern aus anderen Studienrichtungen, die in irgendeiner Form Mathematik benötigen, hilfreich sein. Viele elementare mathematische Zusammenhänge, die in der Sek. I angesprochen wurden, werden auf dem Weg zum Abitur kaum weiter verwendet und selten auf dem Niveau der Sek. II reflektiert. Letzteres soll im Rahmen einer inhaltlichen Revision des Sek. I-Stoffes geschehen. Auf Bezüge zwischen Fachmathematik und Mathematikdidaktik wird an passenden Stellen eingegangen.
Die Übungsaufgaben beziehen sich im Wesentlichen auf die kalkülmäßige Beherrschung mathematischer Verfahren und die korrekte Verwendung von Symbolen und Begriffen. In den Übungsgruppen werden Lösungswege verglichen, z.T. vorgerechnet und Verständnisfragen diskutiert.

Strahlensätze, Kreis, Körper, Oberflächen, Volumina),
- Trigonometrische Funktionen,
- Elementare Wahrscheinlichkeitsrechnung,
- weitere (z.B. Mengen, soweit noch Zeit).
