Die Einführung in die Literaturwissenschaft widmet sich in etwa den folgenden Basisfragen:
- Was ist ein (literarischer) Text?
- Was ist Literaturwissenschaft?
- Was sind literarische Gattungen?
- Wie lesen, verstehen, interpretieren wir (narrative, lyrische, dramatische) Texte?
- Was ist ein Autor? Was sind Konzepte von Autorschaft?
- Was ist eine Literaturepoche? Was ist Literaturgeschichtsschreibung?
- Was sind literaturwissenschaftliche Methoden?
- Was ist eine literarische Übersetzung?
- In welchem Verhältnis steht Literatur zu den anderen Künsten?
- Was ist der Stellenwert der Literatur unter den anderen Medien?Das Seminar versteht sich als Plattform zur Diskussion, der gemeinsamen Kommentierung und Ergänzung der vorzubereitenden (Einführungs-)Lektüre sowie der Anwendung des Erlernten auf konkrete literarische Texte.
