In an age and a culture where pornography is an omnipresent commodity, where youtube has its own porn channel and Hugh Heffner is an icon of popular culture, paying close attention to pornography as industry, cultural product and subject of intellectual debate seems more relevant than ever.
An eternal bone of contention, in this class we will examine conflicting scholarly and literary discourses of pornography in the 20th and 21st century.
