261005 Biomedical Ethics (S) (SoSe 2007)

Contents, comment

This course is a general introduction to the field of biomedical ethics. The focus of the course will be to provide the students with a basic familiarity with the kinds of issues and arguments that are standardly discussed in the field. These include autonomy, nonmalfeasance, beneficence, justice, doctor-patient relationship, research on human subjects, abortion, and health care policy. The course will be conducted in English.

Für eine Leistungsbescheinigung im BA-Studiengang werden mehrere kleine Beiträge, die zum Semesterbeginn erläutert werden, für einen Leistungsnachweis in allen anderen Studiengängen wird eine schriftliche Hausarbeit erwartet.

Requirements for participation, required level

Gründlich vorbereitete Teilnahme an jeder Sitzung des Semesters. Bereitschaft zur Übernahme eines Referats.

Bibliography

Literatur wird zu Beginn des Semesters in Form eines Readers oder einer Kopiervorlage zur Verfügung gestellt.
