Das Seminar gibt sowohl einen theoretischen als auch praktischen Einblick in die Grundlagen der Präventionsarbeit sowie der klinisch-psychologischen Beratung bei Kindern und Jugendlichen (z. B. Einführung in unterschiedliche Konzepte der Beratung von Eltern und Erziehern im Umgang mit verhaltenauffälligen Kindern; Modelle der Prävention psychischer Störungen des Kindes- und Jugendalters; multimethodale Diagnostik). Außerdem wird auf Methoden und Ergebnisse der einschlägigen Forschung im Bereich der Prävention und klinisch-psychologischen Beratung eingegangen.
Das Seminar ist geteilt und wird von vier Dozenten betreut. Pro Seminar max. 20 Plätze; das Seminar von Herrn Lohaus und Frau Dirks erfordert die Bereitschaft, die Umsetzung des Programms in lokalen Einrichtungen durchzuführen. Das Seminar von Frau Dirks und Herrn Vierhaus erfordert die Bereitschaft, die Umsetzung der Programme im Rollenspiel durchzuführen.
