This new lecture will be mainly conducted by our visiting Mercator Professor Tamas Szekely from the University of Bath. Prof. Szekely is a leading conservation scientist and the course will be run in English. It will introduce students to the science of conservation biology, the concepts which are useful and the implications of conservation biology. Students will also participate with seminars on popular topics and wie plan to visit conservation agencies and protected areas together to get a hands-on view on local conservation topics. Students can get three credit points for regular attendance and a written report or essay (FSB 2002).
