In diesem Seminar sollen aktuelle Entwicklungen der Migrations- und Jugendforschung mit Fragen der Milieu- und Lebensstilforschung verknüpft werden. Dabei wird eine Forschungsrichtung in den Mittelpunkt gerückt, die unterschiedliche Lebensstile und -formen im Zusammenhang mit Fragen sozialer Ungleichheit betrachtet. In diesem Seminar werden u.a. eigene empirische Untersuchungen und Ergebnisse zur Frage von Lebensstilen von deutschen, türkischen und Aussiedler-Jugendlichen (IKG-Jugendpanel 2002) vorgestellt. Es sollen von den TeilnehmerInnen jedoch auch selbst leitfadengestützte Interviews durchgeführt werdehn. Ziel des Seminars ist es, eine Ausdifferenzierung von Jugendkulturen in den genannten ethnischen Herkunftskontexten auszuloten.

Vorkenntnisse zu qualitativen Forschungsmethoden sind von Vorteil, aber nicht erforderlich.
