In der Vorlesung werden Studierende der Sprachlichen Grundbildung mit grundlegenden Gegenständen, Modellen und Analyseverfahren der germanistischen Sprachwissenschaft bekannt gemacht. Die Vorlesung hat einen fachwissenschaftlichen Charakter und stellt das Basiswissen bereit, auf dem im weiteren Studium sprachdidaktische Veranstaltungen aufbauen.
Die zur Veranstaltung gehörenden Übungen ("Tutorien") dienen der Diskussion und Anwendung der in der Vorlesung vermittelten Inhalte.
