Drug repurposing is a field of research in data science and bioinformatics which even appeared in public during the COVID-19 pandemic due to the lack of satisfying medical treatments for a new disease.
This seminar talks about the utilization of data science for drug repurposing. Literature and the current state of the art will be discussed including presentations held by the students. The students will obtain an overview of current concepts and methods of data science applied to drug repurposing. They will embed their knowledge in a presentation on an article of their choice combined with a report.
