Im Seminar werden, aufbauend auf den Inhalten der Einführungsvorlesung, zentrale Prinzipien der deutschen Grammatik und Orthographie behandelt. Dabei sollen zentrale linguistische Beschreibungskategorien und Strukturebenen thematisiert und unter Rückgriff auf Videomaterial aus der Schule als analytische 'Brille' etabliert werden. Ziel der Veranstaltung ist eine linguistisch fundierte Auseinandersetzung mit sprachdidaktischen Phänomenen und Inhalten aus der Grundschule.
