Das Seminar führt in Theorien der Entwicklung und in Ansätze der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit ein. Ausgehend von der Diskussion grundlegender Begriffe von „Entwicklung“ und „Unterentwicklung“ werden die zwei klassischen Theoriestränge – Modernisierungstheorien und Dependenztheorien – diskutiert und die historischen Wurzeln entwicklungspolitischer Kooperation beleuchtet. Darüber hinaus setzen wir uns mit neueren Ansätzen der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit (Post-Development, Aid Effectiveness, Dreieckskooperation etc.) und aktuellen Veränderungen auseinander.
Die Pflichtlektüre zu den einzelnen Veranstaltungsterminen wird noch bekanntgegeben.
