Studierende lernen aktuelle Forschungsthemen der Psychologie und angewandten Linguistik kennen, die für die psychologischen und kommunikativen Aspekte der Medizin bedeutsam sind. Sie beherrschen die relevante Terminologie und Methodik bezüglich der psychologischen Grundlagen, der Linguistik, der angewandten Sprachwissenschaft und Mehrsprachigkeitsforschung, wie sie für das medizinisch-klinische Tätigkeitsfeld Anwendung finden. Sie kennen das grundlegende Spektrum relevanter Theorien und Forschungsansätze in den beteiligten Disziplinen.


In der Veranstaltung zur Gestaltung der klinisch-therapeutischen Kommunikationssituation kommen diverse sprachliche und nonverbale Aspekte aus der Sicht von Psychologie, Sprachkompetenz sowie sprachlicher und soziokultureller Diversität zum Tragen. Anhand von Beispielen werden die verschiedenen Facetten von Kommunikation und Kognition in medizinischen Kontexten differenziert analysiert.
