Das Seminar befasst sich mit dem Zusammenhang von Organisationen und privater Lebensführung. Im Mittelpunkt steht die Frage, wie Organisationen die private Lebensführung und die Verwirklichungschancen ihrer Mitglieder in Beruf und Familie beeinflussen und welche Mechanismen + Einflussfaktoren hierbei eine Rolle spielen. Das Seminar gibt einen Überblick über relevante theoretische Konzepte und über aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse; ein besonderer Schwerpunkt liegt auf den Verwirklichungschancen von Vätern in Familie und Beruf.
Die Seminarteilnehmer erhalten die Gelegenheit, anhand von qualitativem Interviewmaterial den Zusammenhang von Organisation, Geschlecht und Lebensführung exemplarisch zu analysieren.
