220089 Lateinische Lektüre: Sallust (Ü) (WiSe 2012/2013)

Sallust ist seit der Antike Schulautor und gilt als einer der bedeutendsten lateinischen Historiker überhaupt. Wir wollen uns weniger mit der Verschwörung des Catilina befassen, sondern uns anhand des Bellum Iugurthinum und der Historienfragmente einen Eindruck von den Intentionen und historiographischen Mitteln Sallusts verschaffen.
Die Texte, die unter stud.ip vorgelegt werden, werden gemeinsam auf Latein gelesen. Grammatikalische Probleme können nur in Ausnahmefällen thematisiert werden; daher sind brauchbare Lateinkenntnisse unbedingte Voraussetzung für eine sinnvolle Teilnahme. Für einen erfolgreichen Abschluss ist eine Übersetzungsklausur mit einigen kleineren Fragen zu bestehen (alte StudO) bzw. sind vier Studienleistungen zu erbringen (neue StudO).
