In the seminar, we will discuss critically and compare various ideas of the concept of "lifelong learning" from different perspectives. One focus of the seminar will be to develop different understandings of lifelong learning and to get to know the implicit assumptions regarding educational ideal and theoretical understanding of learning. Another focus will be on the discussion about the importance of lifelong learning for adults. The seminar will be held in English, as well as discussions, presentations and lectures will have to be prepared in English. At the end of the course each participant should not only be expert for the concept lifelong learning, but also know the relevant English terms and feel more confident in dealing with presentations in English. It is also expected that participants read texts in their original language.
