Contents, comment

Apart from considering industrialization and the rise and fall of the Empire, this course will focus on Britain since 1945, introducing you to the most important changes that have taken place in British society, politics, and cultures since the end of the Second World War right up to the present. In this way the course will give you some grounding for the subsequent in-depth pursuit of individual topics dealt with rather summarily here
