Das Seminar bietet eine Einführung in postkolonial-feministische Theorien und Forschungen. In der ersten Seminarhälfte werden wir uns anhand der Lektüre ausgewählter Vertreter*innen deutschsprachiger postkolonialer Theorien mit den Zusammenhängen zwischen Kolonialismus, Imperialismus, Globalisierung und Postkolonialismus auseinandersetzen. Daran anschließend beschäftigen wir uns mit den Herausforderungen und Potentialen einer postkolonialen Perspektive für die Soziologie und die Geschlechterforschung. In der zweiten Seminarhälfte werden wir uns dann schlaglichtartig einigen thematischen Bereichen aus der breiten Auswahl an disziplinären, theoretischen und methodischen Zugängen postkolonialer Forschung widmen.
