Die Theorie relationaler Ungleichheiten hat in den letzten Jahren einen enormen Aufschwung erfahren und gezeigt, wie Betriebe Ungleichheiten zwischen verschiedenen Beschäftigtengruppen herstellen. Im Vordergrund stehen dabei die Merkmale Geschlecht, Elternschaft, Migrationshintergrund und Qualifikation. Viele Untersuchungen haben die Mechanismen offengelegt, wie im Zusammenspiel von Betriebsleitung, Management, Vorgesetzten und Kolleg:innen solche Ungleichheiten entstehen. Vergleichsweise weniger Aufmerksamkeit wurde der Frage gewidmet, wie solchen Ungleichheiten begegnet werden kann. Hierbei gweht es sowohl um Organisationskultur als auch personalpolitische Maßnahmen, die Diskriminierungen Stereotypisierungen entgegenwirken oder aktiv Gleichstellung und Vereinbarkeit fördern sollen. Im Seminar werden theoretische Grundlasgen als auch beispielhafte Studien zur Ungleichheitsgenese wie auch der Herstellung von mehr Gleichheit behandelt.
