Der Lektürekurs behandelt ausgewählte Texte der französischen Aufklärung. Im Vordergrund steht zunächst die Kenntnis der wichtigsten Texte selbst, dann aber vor allem ihre adäquate sprachliche Erfassung, wobei besonderer Wert auf die politisch-soziale Begrifflichkeit gelegt wird. Eine Lektüreliste wird den TeilnehmerInnen zu Beginn der Veranstaltung ausgehändigt.
