220143 Kommunikations- und Medientheorien in der Geschichtswissenschaft (GST) (SoSe 2012)

Contents, comment

Die Geschichte der Medien und der öffentlichen Kommunikation hat in den letzten Jahren zunehmende Aufmerksamkeit erfahren. Im Seminar soll es zum einen darum gehen, theoretische Angebote der Kommunikations- und Medienwissenschaft kennenzulernen und ihre Verwendbarkeit für die historische Forschung zu diskutieren. Zum anderen soll auch in die Probleme und Methoden des Forschungsfeldes der Kommunikations- und Mediengeschichte eingeführt werden, indem einzelne kommunikationshistorische Studien exemplarisch vorgestellt und praktische Probleme des Umgangs mit verschiedenen Quellensorten erörtert werden.
