The goal of this course is to ensure that students are able to express themselves clearly, coherently, correctly and in an appropriate style in written English in a wide variety of different text types (such as summaries, essays, job applications, personal and professional letters and promotional texts).
In the seminar, students will be given the opportunity to extend and consolidate their writing skills through regular and intensive writing tasks. They will be able to develop their control of grammatical structures and the scope and appropriateness of their lexical resources in a range of communicative contexts, and to reflect together and individually on the writing process.
Participants should have passed the departmental Entrance Test or one of the recognized equivalents.
