Do you feel unsure, left out, or simply out-of-practice during important English-language discussions and conversations? This course is especially relevant for students who need practice and help becoming more involved in spoken English-language discourse in formal, as well as informal settings. Using a variety of familiar topics and situations that will act as a thematic framework, students will be presented with the increased opportunity for meaningful conversation in English, while also learning about rhetoric, as well as relevant words, phrases and grammatical structures that can aid fluency and help increase output.

To successfully pass the course, the following criteria must be met:
1. Regular class participation (a maximum of three absences is tolerated).
2. Engagement with, and participation in, all class themes and activities.
3. Delivery of a 25 minute presentation, and achieving a pass mark (60% and over) in a final test.
