Poetische Gerechtigkeit bezeichnet das Verhältnis von Belohnung und Strafe in Relation zu Tugend und Laster am Ende eines literarischen Textes. Dies Seminar untersucht, wie in der Literatur und im Film von dieser Doktrin Gebrauch gemacht wird, und inwiefern gleichzeitig deren Grenzen und Naivität aufgezeigt werden. Daraus ergeben sich auch grundlegende Fragen nach dem Zusammenhang zwischen Literatur und Moral, denn die Doktrin der poetischen Gerechtigkeit zu unterlaufen heißt nicht notwendig moralische Implikationen von Literatur genenrell abzulehnen.
