In dieser Veranstaltung geht es darum zunächst historisch und systematisch Entwicklungslinien und Diskurse zur Beratung sowie die Kontroverse nachzuzeichnen, ob Beratung „nur“ eine Methode der Sozialen Arbeit ist. Sodann soll die Bedeutung sozialer Bewegungen bei der Konstituierung des Arbeitsfelder Beratung erkannt sowie das Verhältnis von Profession, Staat und Bewegung historisch verstanden werden. Beratungskonzepte sollen in Bezug auf ihre theoretischen Fundamente und Substanzen zugeordnet werden: z.B. Beratung als Therapie, als alltagsorientierte Begleitung, systemische und lösungsorientierte Beratungskonzepte, Beratung als helfende fürsorgliche Interaktion oder als kritische Aufklärung.
