Ziel des Moduls ist es, die Studierenden mit dem Gebiet E-Health vertraut zu machen. Es werden aktuelle und zukunftweisende Anwendungsgebiete der Gesundheitstelematik vorgestellt und kritisch diskutiert. Dazu werden u. a. die zum Verständnis von gesundheitstelematischen Anwendungen notwendigen Telekommunikations- und Informatikgrundlagen sowie die dabei zu beachtenden ethischen und rechtlichen Aspekte vermittelt. Inhaltlich konzentriert sich die Veranstaltung zunächst auf telemedizinische Anwendungsbereiche und im weiteren Verlauf auf umweltbezogene Gesundheitskommunikation via Internet. Den Erwerb dieser Kompetenzen weisen die Studierenden in einer Klausur nach.
Nach aktuellem Stand (19.09.2021) wird die Vorlesung online stattfinden. Es gibt sowohl synchrone als auch asynchrone Vorlesungseinheiten.
