Diese Vorlesung bietet einen Überblick über die rezente Forschung zum Thema Zu- und Zusammengehörigkeit (Belonging) und thematisiert die benachbarten Forschungsfelder ‚Heimat‘, ‚Zuhause‘, ‚Exil‘ sowie ‘Prozesse der Grenzsetzung und der Neutralisierung sozialer Grenzziehungen‘. Im ersten Teil der Vorlesung werden die Grundbegriffe diskutiert. Im zweiten Teil kommen anhand von Fallbeispielen wichtige Konstellationen der Zugehörigkeit und die damit zusammen hängenden Prozesse der Inklusion und Exklusion zur Sprache. Im dritten Teil wird die Konzeptualisierung dieser Forschungsfelder vertieft – etwa in Bezug auf die Abgrenzung von ‚Zugehörigkeit‘ und ‚Identität‘, auf ‚Intersektionalität‘, ‚Politiken des Selbst‘, sowie in Bezug auf ‚Prozesse sozialer und ethnischer Grenzziehungen‘.

1) Ein Exzerpt zu einem der Haupttexte, die in der Vorlesung verwendet werden (ca. 1000 Wörter –abzugeben bis zur Vorlesung, die auf diesen Text Bezug nimmt)
2) Eine schriftliche Beurteilung der Vorlesung (ca. 1000 Wörter – abzugeben zwischen dem 1.7.13 und dem 1.8.13)
Es besteht die Möglichkeit, eine Einzelleistung in Form einer Hausarbeit zu erbringen (3 LPs; ca. 5‘000-6‘000 Wörter; einzureichen bis am 30.9.13)
