Sprachliche Bedeutung geht über das explizit Gesagte hinaus. In diesem Seminar werden wir uns mit pragmatischen Inferenzen in Form von Implikaturen beschäftigen, die maßgeblich zur sprachlichen Bedeutung beitragen. Dabei werden wir zentrale linguistische Theorien der Implikaturen besprechen und diese zu Befunden aus der experimentellen Pragmatik in Beziehung setzen. Welche der Theorien erklärt am besten, wie das menschliche Sprachsystem mit Implikaturen umgeht? Ist die Fähigkeit zu pragmatischen Inferenzen eine universelle oder unterscheiden wir uns in unseren pragmatischen Fähigkeiten?
